Joad offer the HEBIE Bicycle steering damper range. This extremely useful mechanism consists of a spring connected to the frame and the fork crown to prevent the steering from turning when you need it not to. However, it doesn't affect handling of the bike in normal use. They come supplied with specified fixings which provide the cyclist with progressive torque to straighten the steering. Ideal for carrying heavy loads on a bike, and especially if using a front rack or front child seat, it can be useful also to have a steering damper on your bike so that the steering doesn't "flop" when the bike is parked.
